Use a structured checklist so coil releases do not skip cross-disciplinary items. SiCore-style industrial docks tie magnetics to alignment, FOD, thermal duty, and service — the checklist reflects that integration.

01Magnetics

  • L, Rac, Q at f_op on production fixture with ferrite and potting.
  • k map vs gap and lateral offset on TX/RX pair with chassis mockup.
  • Capacitor voltage and current stress at min/max k and load.
  • Leakage flux survey at defined points for EMC review.

02Mechanical and thermal

  • OD/ID/coil datum documented on assembly drawings.
  • Thermal soak at max ambient and fleet duty cycle.
  • Vibration and impact per install environment.
  • Potting process qualified with SRF and Hi-Pot on aged samples.

03Fleet and field

Install guide: pad orientation, forbidden metal, torque specs. Spares BOM and replacement calibration step. Telemetry hooks for efficiency or Q drift if program supports predictive maintenance. Sign-off from power electronics, mechanical, EMC, and operations — coil design is never magnetics alone.
