EMC Design
Engineering reference on EMC Design for wireless power system design, integration, and deployment.
EMC design ensures the charging dock neither interferes with nor fails in the presence of other equipment. Emissions from the power stage and coil must meet applicable limits; immunity to grid transients, ESD, and nearby RF matters for reliable AMR operation in busy factories.
EMC is a system property — grounding, cabling, enclosure, and firmware fault response all participate.
01Emissions control
- Class-appropriate limits for industrial and residential-adjacent installs.
- Filter design verified under full load and typical line impedance.
- Coil and ferrite arrangements that contain leakage without killing coupling.
02Immunity
ESD on operator-touchable surfaces and vehicle approach paths. Surge and fast transients on AC input per install region. Magnetic and electric field immunity where dock electronics sit near other WPT or RF sources. Firmware must fail safe — not latch in an unsafe power state after a burst.
03Documentation
- EMC test plan tied to production representative sample.
- Installation guide: grounding, cable separation, prohibited modifications.
- Field escalation when site EMC audits fail after non-OEM changes.
